Bloom & Graze at CherryHill Orchards: Spring's Best Excuse to Get Out of the House

Spring has a way of making everyone suddenly very interested in "getting outdoors." CherryHill Orchards in Coldstream is giving you somewhere to actually do it and calling it Bloom & Graze.


On 12–13 September 2026, the orchard trades its usual quiet rows of blossom for a full weekend of grazing, sipping, shopping and wandering. Think local producers, artisan stalls, guided orchard tours, acoustic music drifting between the trees, and enough cherry-based drinking options to make you reconsider what a "cherry" is even for.

What's on:

  • Guided orchard tours — walk the blossom, learn what CherryHill does the other nine months of the year when there isn't a festival on.

  • Free workshops — running both days, spots are limited, so this is not the weekend to be fashionably late.

  • Local artisans and producers — for the browsing-with-intent-to-buy crowd.

  • Acoustic music — the soundtrack to your second cherry cider.


If you want to make more of a day of it, there are two ticketed masterclasses worth knowing about: "Stirring Trouble", a cocktail masterclass with Naught Distillery (five gin tastings, two cocktails, and a chat with the distiller), and "When Cheese Meets Wine", pairing Tillie J Wines with Yarra Valley Dairy cheeses. Both cap at 25 spots, so they'll go quickly.


On the drinks front, CherryHill's own cherry lineup is doing some heavy lifting — Cherry Spritz, Cherry Seltzer, Cherry Cider, Cherry Vodka, Cherry Liqueur, and a Blossom Gin, if you'd rather your gin sound like the event it was named after. Just bring ID — it's 18+ for anything alcoholic.

Get there with Hop It

Here's the part we're obviously going to mention: CherryHill is a stop on our Red Route.

Which means no one in your group has to be the designated non-drinker, no one's trying to remember where they parked, and nobody's frantically checking a rideshare app while balancing a Cherry Spritz. We hop you there, you graze and wander at your own pace, and we hop you home — along with whatever else the Yarra Valley talks you into on the way.


Bloom & Graze is a two-day event, so however you want to spend it — orchard tour and out, or the full grazing marathon — the Red Route works around you.
